Sweet, gentle, and full of quiet charm, Lulu is a wonderful little girl who is looking for a loving forever family. She has settled beautifully into her foster home and enjoys spending her days exploring the neighborhood, relaxing on a cozy blanket, and being close to her favorite people.
🐶 Other Dogs
Lulu gets along wonderfully with both small and large dogs.
In her foster home, she comfortably lives with dogs weighing 21, 55, and 65 pounds. On neighborhood walks, she ignores barking dogs and has happily wagged her tail at friendly dogs she meets. Even when other dogs have been reactive toward her, Lulu has remained calm and friendly.
🐱 Cats

Lulu is very interested in squirrels and geckos and would happily chase them if given the chance, so any introductions to cats should be done carefully.

Lulu had a positive interaction with a 4-year-old neighbor, remaining calm, relaxed, and gently sniffing her hand. She has also been incredibly sweet while visiting a neighbor with dementia, showing just how gentle and patient she can be.
🚶 Leash & Exercise
Lulu loves her daily neighborhood walks and has a brisk pace. She becomes excited when she spots squirrels or geckos and may pull toward them, but wearing a harness has helped tremendously.
She also enjoys playing fetch and happily chases after toys before proudly bringing them back for another throw.
Because Lulu enjoys exploring, she should always be walked on a leash or have access to a securely fenced yard.
🏡 House Training
Lulu is house trained.
She is taken outside regularly and has also started giving cues when she needs to go outside.
🛏️ Crate & Sleeping
Lulu is still learning that the crate is a safe place.
She can comfortably relax in her crate when someone she trusts is nearby. If left alone while everyone is out of sight, she may whine, but is taking less time to settle down.
Lulu happily takes naps on a dog bed snuggled up with a soft blanket. Her foster believes she would likely love sleeping in bed with her person, but this hasn’t been introduced yet due to her recovery from surgery, treatment for a urinary tract infection, and the presence of three resident dogs.
Lulu is also a very respectful house guest and does not get into mischief.
🍽️ Food & Toys
Lulu eats separately from the other dogs, just as they all do. Because she arrived underweight, she is currently being fed four smaller meals each day.
She patiently waits for her bowl to be placed and has shown no food aggression toward people. She has also played fetch while another dog played nearby without showing any food or toy aggression toward either the people or the other dog.
🚗 Car Rides
Lulu travels calmly in a carrier and rides quietly without whining or barking.
🥰 Meeting New People
Lulu hasn’t met a stranger yet!
She has been friendly with everyone she’s met, both around the neighborhood and in her foster home. She patiently waits for attention and happily accepts pets from new friends.
Although she was understandably timid when she first arrived after everything she had been through, her foster allowed her to settle in at her own pace. Since then, Lulu’s sweet, loving personality has blossomed.

💙 Personality & Home Life
Lulu forms strong bonds with the people she loves and enjoys being included in everyday family life. She does experience some separation anxiety, particularly when her foster leaves the home or when she is crated.
Her foster believes Lulu would thrive in a home where she can build trusting relationships with multiple family members rather than becoming overly attached to just one person.
Despite her sensitive nature, Lulu has shown no concern during recent thunderstorms and is a very quiet dog. She rarely barks—even when the other dogs around her are barking.
Lulu would love a family that enjoys daily walks, playtime, and cozy evenings together. In return, she’ll reward them with unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and countless cuddles.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
