❤️ 4 Years Old
⚖️ 15 lbs.
🐶 Dachshund
Angus is a very special little guy looking for a patient, understanding family willing to help him continue his journey of learning to trust. While he may be shy at first, once Angus chooses you as his person, you’ll gain the most devoted cuddle buddy imaginable.

🐕 Good with Other Dogs
- Angus is very neutral around other dogs and does not seek out play or interaction.
- He must be adopted into a home with another confident, independent dog who can help teach him how to be a dog and provide comfort when he’s feeling unsure.
- Friendly with new dogs but generally uninterested in interacting with them.
- Has not been tested with large dogs but would likely do fine due to his neutral nature.
🐱 Cats
- Not tested with cats in the home.
- Has shown fear of neighborhood cats.
- With slow introductions, he would likely adjust over time.
👧 Children
- Best suited for a home with children 12 years and older.
- Angus is fearful of new people, fast movements, and loud activity.
- A calm, predictable environment is ideal.

🚶 Leash & Walks
- Walks beautifully on a leash.
- However, Angus is an extreme flight risk if he does not fully trust the handler.
- He is very fearful of strangers and may freeze or attempt to flee when unfamiliar people are nearby.
- A securely fenced yard is essential while he builds trust with his new family.
- Angus is not a dog who will enjoy busy public outings, crowded parks, or shopping districts.
🏡 House Training
- Has made tremendous progress with house training.
- Does best with frequent potty breaks.
- Another dog in the home helps because Angus likes to follow their lead.
🛏️ Crate & Sleeping
- Crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night.
- Loves dog beds and spending time close to his people.
- Would happily sleep in bed with his family, but currently sleeps in his crate because he tends to jump from furniture to follow his person.
❤️ Personality
- Extremely shy and timid with new people.
- No aggression whatsoever.
- Not a big barker.
- No separation anxiety.
- Once he trusts someone, he becomes incredibly affectionate and devoted.
- Loves cuddling, face kisses, and spending time in his person’s lap.
- Has shown interest in toys but is still learning how to play.
🍽️ Food & Toys
- No food or toy aggression.
- Interestingly, Angus actually eats better when another dog is eating nearby.
Adoptable Dachshund Angus, 4 years old, 15 lbs.

🐿️ Hunting Instincts

- He enjoys watching squirrels and lizards and would love a secure yard where he can safely explore.
