Meet Adoptable Mix Jerry! Jerry is 3 years old, weighs 11 pounds, and can’t wait to find his forever home. He is a playful, sweet pup who enjoys spending his days playing with his doggy friends. He also loves making his humans happy.

Jerry gets along with other dogs, both big and small. He’s playful with other pups and doesn’t mind sharing his toys! He is also cat friendly. He is curious about the cats in his foster home but just ignores them for the most part. We are unsure how Jerry would do with children as he hasn’t been around any since coming to the rescue.
Adoptable Mix Jerry
Jerry does pretty well on leash and really enjoys his walks. He initially gets very excited and pulls a bit, but calms down quickly and walks nicely. He does like to make sure other people and dogs he encounters on walks know that he exists. This is accomplished by showing off his barking skills.

Jerry is house-trained and will stand by the door to let you know when he needs to go outside. He is crate-trained and is used to sleeping in his crate at night and eating meals in his crate. He can be very territorial over his food, which is why he eats completely separate from the other pups. Jerry is not a big barker- just when someone rings the doorbell or knocks on the door. He does seem to have some slight separation anxiety and will cry when his people leave the house.
He sleeps in his crate at night with a dog bed, but will nap with his humans during the day. We think he would love a home where he could spend his nights cuddled up with his humans! He loves car rides and has so much fun taking little trips!

When it comes to meeting new people, he can be a bit apprehensive. It may take a while to warm up. Initially, he will bark but calms down when new people ignore him. It’s important to let him come to them on his own terms. He seems to be more comfortable with women than men. Jerry does fine meeting both as long as they do not startle him with any fast movements. He really enjoys meeting new dogs and loves making friends with them.

Vetting and Medical
In our care, he has received all of the following: Vet Check, Dental Exam, Medication (temporary – like for acute infection), Skin treatments/ infections, Nails Trimmed
Health wise, this little guy is in great shape! The only issue is itchy skin but this has been treated recently with a Cerenia injection. The injection has worked well for him. We would recommend his adopter continue with these monthly injections or find another way to manage and treat his itchiness.
We depend on donations from caring people, like you, to make a difference in the lives of dogs. As an all volunteer organization, you can rest assured that the donations go directly to help the dogs. Thank you!

Adoptable Mix Jerry – 3 yrs, 11 lbs
Jerry is a very smart dog. He knows come, sit, off, no, and is very sensitive to your voice, the tilt of your head or squint in your eye. He does best with a calm, quiet and patient atmosphere with time to be rambunctious and do his zoomies and play chase in a fenced yard with his doggy friends. Adoption fee $300
If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.
*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
