Meet Maizee – Your Future Snuggle Buddy & Adventure Sidekick! 🐶💛
Maizee is a 10-month-old, 10-pound bundle of joy with the sweetest little face and a heart full of love. This petite pup is the perfect mix of playful energy and cuddle bug charm. Whether she’s romping around the yard with her furry friends or curled up in a cozy dog bed, Maizee is happiest when she’s surrounded by love (and squeaky toys, especially the crinkly ones!).
Maizee gets along wonderfully with other small dogs and absolutely adores having a four-legged buddy to play with. She’s currently living with a big, low-energy foster sibling and does great with him too—but she was a little unsure at first around larger, high-energy dogs, so she’ll need slow, gentle introductions to big boisterous pups. As for cats… we’re not sure yet!
She’s been around children and especially loves when they include her in playtime. Whether it’s a game of fetch or just some backyard exploring, Maizee is all in! She’s also a total rockstar on walks and does well on a leash, making her a great companion for your daily strolls and weekend adventures.
💤 At night, Maizee is a crate-sleeping champ, but she does enjoy napping in the big bed during the day—and wouldn’t mind making that her full-time sleeping arrangement if her forever family allows it. 😉
🏡 Maizee isn’t fully house-trained yet, but she’s made great progress and is eager to keep learning with a patient and committed adopter.

Vetting and Medical
In our care, Maizee has received a Vet Check, Dental Exam, Nails Trimmed, Heart Worm testing and medication. Maizee has two retained baby teeth in her mouth that will need to be surgically removed, so she will require a dental within 4 months of adoption.
We depend on donations from caring people, like you, to make a difference in the lives of dogs. As an all volunteer organization, you can rest assured that the donations go directly to help the dogs. Thank you!
Adoptable Dachshund Maizee – 10 months, 10 lbs
Maizee is truly the biggest sweetheart, and she’s ready to bring sunshine, laughter, and tail wags to her forever home. She’d thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard, an active lifestyle, and ideally a playful pup sibling or two. Most of all, she just wants to be loved—and she’ll give that love back tenfold. Adoption fee $400.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
