Meet Tucker: The Smiley Sidekick You’ve Been Waiting For! 🐾

Say hello to Tucker, a 3-year-old dachshund mix with the biggest smile and the happiest little heart! Weighing in at 22 pounds of pure joy, Tucker is a friendly, loyal companion who’s looking for his forever family—and he has a lot of love (and tail wags!) to give. 💛

Tucker’s Personality Highlights:
Tucker gets along great with other dogs and even likes cats! He is super friendly with new people. He may back up a bit at first if you reach to pet him too quickly, but he warms up fast. We haven’t tested him with children, so we’re unsure how he feels about them. Walks are everything to Tucker. He enjoys twice-daily strolls when the weather is nice and struts his stuff like a pro on the leash.

 Tucker has never had an accident in the house while with his foster. He’ll go to the door or give a little whimper when he needs to potty. Windows down, ears flapping—this guy lives for a good car ride! He enjoys playing fetch and hanging out outside whenever the weather cooperates. No food or toy aggression here, and he knows how to sit on command!

Tucker is not a fan of the crate (honestly, same). He prefers to snooze by your feet at night and usually sneaks up next to you by morning for some extra cuddles. While he doesn’t bark much, if another dog gets going, he’s happy to chime in with his own opinion.

Tucker doesn’t like being left alone—he was used to having his human around all the time. When left in a room or kennel, he tends to bark and may scratch at the door. His ideal home would be one where someone is around most of the day or can take him along on errands and adventures.

Vetting and Medical 

In our care, Tucker has received all of the following: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Dental Exam, Spay or Neuter, Nails Trimmed, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication.

Tucker would love a home with another friendly dog or a cat buddy and someone who works from home or isn’t gone for long stretches. He loves fun walks, fetch time, and car rides. A patient and loving family who doesn’t mind that he’s still working on being okay with alone time would be great. Adoption fee $350.
