Meet Dachshund Mix Ruby! Ruby is 7 years old, weighs approximately 23 pounds, and cannot wait to meet her forever family. She loves belly rubs, cuddles, and spending time with her foster family and four-legged friends!
Ruby gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with her foster siblings! We are unsure how Ruby would do with cats or young children as she has not been around either since coming to the rescue. She has done great around older children and would enjoy being in a home with older children.
Ruby enjoys going for walks and does a great job on leash. She is house-trained and crate-trained as well. She has shown no food or toy aggression while in her foster home, she is a sweet girl who doesn’t mind sharing! She’s not a big barker but will bark when she needs to communicate something such as wanting to go outside or wanting to go back inside.
Ruby is used to being around someone, or at least around other dogs, a majority of the time. We are unsure how she would do being totally by herself, so we would recommend a home where someone is home a majority of the time and/or has other pups to keep Ruby company! Healthwise, Ruby is a very healthy girl with no noted health issues.

In our care, Ruby has received all of the following: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication

Ruby enjoys napping on the dog beds, but prefers to be snuggled up in the big bed with her humans at nighttime! Her ideal forever home would be a home where her people let her get all the cuddles her heart desires on the big bed every night. Ruby enjoys car rides and is a great passenger. She enjoys meeting new people and new pups alike and does well with introductions! Ruby just LOVES people and once someone gives her a belly rub, she will be their best friend forever! *Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
