Meet Adoptable Doxie Maximilian! Max is 2 years old, weighs approximately 12 pounds, and cannot wait to meet his forever family. Max is a happy little guy just looking for someone to give all of his love to. He loves cuddles, kisses, and just being near his humans!
Max is dog friendly and has done great around other dogs no matter their size. He is a little hesitant at first when it comes to dogs significantly bigger than him but he warms up in no time. He has also done well around cats and really enjoys playing with them. He has done well around both younger and older children and gets very excited to interact with them! Max would be an amazing addition to a variety of homes and families.
He enjoys going for walks and does pretty well on the leash although he is still learning not to pull when he gets excited. He has made progress with this since coming to his foster home. He is house-trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside. We are unsure if he is crate-trained or not as he has not needed to be crated while in his foster home. He is not a big barker and has not shown any signs of food or toy aggression while in his foster home.
Max likes spending his days lounging around the dog beds in his foster home but he prefers snuggling up to his humans at night in the big bed. He enjoys car rides and is friendly when it comes to meeting new people and new pups! He can get overly excited and has a tendency to jump on new people as a way to show his excitement, but he is working on this. He will sometimes bark at first when meeting a new dog but quickly relaxes once he gets his sniffs in.
Vetting and Medical
In our care, Maximilian has received all of the following: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Dental Exam, Spay or Neuter, Nails Trimmed, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication

Max has shown some signs of separation anxiety so a home where he would get to spend a lot of time with his people would be ideal. Other than that, he will thrive in a variety of different homes as he is a very easy-going, fun-loving pup! Adoption fee $350

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
