Adoptable mix Foxy is such a cute and sweet little guy. He has overcome being seriously injured and terrified in a county shelter. All he wants in life is to love and be loved. He does everything with gusto and that includes moving in for snuggles while covering you with kisses. He loves his whole foster family, including an 8 year old daughter and her friends when they come over.
Poor little Foxy was rescued from the shelter after being severely injured. Low Rider got him emergency care and the surgery he needed. There was a lot of healing needed, but he has recovered well and is READY TO PLAY!
He does great with his 2 foster siblings. His ideal furry companions would also be playful. He loves going for walks and exploring. He loves to chew on chew sticks and to play with toys. He is working on saving his potty until we get outside (he’s doing so much better with that) and he’s working on his listening skills with basic commands.
Foxy is not an excessive barker. He barks at other dogs and people passing by. He has a lot to say. Otherwise he just makes barky sounds and noises when he’s trying to get your attention in the home.
House trained, he has had an occasional accident, and needs to be let out to potty as soon as you get home. He’s doing very well with it though.
It is unknown as to how he feels about cats, but most likely, he would just want to play and could be taught to leave them alone. He doesn’t seem particularly excited or opposed to car rides.
In our care they have received: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Dental Exam, Medication (temporary – like for acute infection), Spay or Neuter, Major Surgery – Live Saving, Skin treatments/ infections, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication. His fur is still growing back. The veterinarian feels it’s not an infection, but likely due to stress. No noticed signs of anxiety.
Every dog who is rescued by Low Rider is fully vetted and receives the care they need to gain a new “leash” on life! If you can assist with vetting expenses, it is greatly appreciated!
He’s definitely very energetic and gives attention with vigor. Foxy does everything with vigor and curiousity. Including meeting new dog friends. He may be a bit much for a slower moving senior dog who is not very playful.
Adoptable Mix Foxy – 3 yrs, 10 lbs.
Foxy would probably be happiest with another dog(s) that are interested in playing with him. He’s very young and playful. Children of all ages are just fine with Foxy, he just loves and wants to be loved (and to play). He is friendly when meeting new people and dogs! Adoption fee $300
If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.
*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
